Tombs 09

So it begins, the last semester of my undergrad career as I know it! *sigh* I don't want this semester to fly by me, yet I know that it will. Last night must've been one of THE BEST nights at Tombs. Ash, Cyn, Ramses and I all went down to celebrate us all being back together and hoorray to drinking! (Also, who knew that not drinking for 2 weeks will kill you tolerance level.) We had a couple of pitchers of beer, I think 3...not sure, and a few shots. I'm not even sure where a lemondrop shot came from, but there was definitely no lemon in that shot...straight vodka! Yuck!

Despite the yucky weather we had an amazing time and just laughed, sang and 

talked the night away, pretty much got kicked out of Tombs...again. I don't even know who many times I've been told you gotta leave, we're closed. We proceeded to go to Philly P's which was a mission as it was pouring, we had two um

brellas and feeling pretty tipsy. We walked to the new Philly P's which was closed! But the nice Asian lady gave us pizza anyways. WE then realized on our way back to campus that the old Philly Ps was still open. Ugh! This is what happens when you are tipsy. hehe, silly us.

Had an amazing time with two of my besties and a fellow Scholar. I can't wait to see what the rest of the semester has in store for us!

  

Midterms

So yet again, I find myself having neglected my blog for the past couple of days. Actually probrably over a week or so. This semester is definitely picking up and I feel my fall semester of senior year zooming right over my head. Currently in the midst of taking my midterms, which translates into late nights at the library. This past Monday I was in the library until 3am studying for my international relations midterm. The midterm went well, so at least I feel like it did. The exam was straight foward and no trick questions, such as my Comparative political systems exam had. I've taken 3 out of 4 midterms. My final midterms is the last week of this month. I'll start studying for it soon since for that course we've read over 30 short stories already. Also, need to talk to my professor to figure out what the layout will be so I can prepare my notes in an exam format. That's usually how I study for my literature exams. After spending a year in Spain, I've learned how to structure my notes for exams so much better, especially for literature courses. I think because of this I've retained so much more and done better on exams.

Here I am in Tombs, once again its Wednesday, I love this day of the week. Not only does it mean that the week is half way over, but that I get my Tombs! The best part of Tombs is that it has Georgetown Cupcakes!! Yes, the best cupcakes east of the Mississippi River!!! SOOoooo yummy! Oh if I could, I'd have one every day, too bad they're like 3 dollars a cupcake.

OKay, I'm off to study and prepare a presentation. More will come soon, I promise!

The Tombs

Yet once again I have neglected my blog posts Every time I think I get my studies under control they flare up like a madman! Finally, got someone to cover for me at work at least one night a week. Looks like Wednesdays are my day off, yay! This means, I can go for runs in the afternoon and study all evening without having to be up so late. Since this is my first evening off I thought it would be appropriate to come celebrate at Tombs. Monday - Friday from 3PM to 5 PM they have study snacks, which consists of selected menu items at half price from normal times. I love the Tombs, especially their burgers. SO yummy!

 Also love the fact that they have free wireless down here.

 

Oh yeah, that's another thing, Tombs is a basement restaurant.

 I'll be posting some pictures of it, I'm definitely going to miss this place as well. I mean Tombs is a Georgetown Tradition, so much goes on down here and a lot of students visit it as well. I usually come eat here about once a week, maybe twice. They always have games on the TVs and Chimes night is coming up soon. Can't wait to finally be down here past 9PM to hear Chimes. Chimes is our all male a cappella group, amazing voices!
